Bureaucrat and Economist Salih ALTUN / MIGRATION AND PEOPLE

While the number of people forcibly displaced due to conflict, violence and persecution reached record levels globally, Turkey continued to be the country hosting the largest number of refugees in the world. Turkey is also home to more than 4 million registered people. Migration and immigrants are one of the most important human issues of our age and have become the main determinant of international relations and policies of countries in the political, economic, social and cultural sense on a global scale. Our country, which has a deep-rooted state tradition that has adopted the principle of "Let the people live so that the state will live", has witnessed and hosted great migration processes due to its geographical location. It opened its doors to immigrants, protected those in need, and mobilized all its means for the problems of immigrants; With legal regulations and institutional structures, it has displayed an exemplary attitude that is respected by the world public opinion. The high human values of a civilization that knows the world abroad and loves people not because of their language, religion, dress, sect, but mostly because of the "Creation because of the Creator" formed the basis of our sensitivity to the problems of immigrants. In the Anatolian geography, with the philosophy of "Let's love, let's be loved...", all humanity will continue to live in unity and brotherhood with a bond of love, as it is today, in the next centuries. With these feelings and thoughts; I hope that this organization will be instrumental in approaching the issue of migration with sensitivity, seeing migration as an element that enriches societies, strengthening the mutual harmony and brotherhood law of immigrants and the host society, and I would like to express my gratitude to all stakeholders, especially the Trade and Economy Club, who contributed and supported them. After his speeches, Salih ALTUN was presented with a plaque by Halil ÖNCEL, Secretary General of the Trade and Economy Club, for his contributions.
